Arcachon is seven kilometres of sandy beach running from the town centre out along the bottoms of endless flowery gardens. Each section has its own character. Th every first ever French sunbathers came here to the town beach, where today there are shops and restaurants. Eyrac beach extends to the marina.

Bordered by a cycle path and lawns, Pereire beach offers a unique view over Cap Ferret. Arbutus beach is the rallying point for windsurfers and kite surfers. The beach at Moulleau is the ideal place to combine swimming and ice-cream!

Cycling

With 15 kilometres of cycle paths in the municipal area alone, you can discover Arcachon safely - along the waterfront and at the edge of the forest. If the mood takes you, you can take off on the 150 kilometres of trails around the basin, or take a boat to Cap Ferret, to experience the charm of the Peninsula in peace.

Fun and games for all

Sailing and water sports are the leading leisure activities in the Arcachon basin. Sailing, kite surfing, stand up paddleboard, dinghies, kayaks... all available at the Nautical Centre. There is also an international golf course, a spa, a swimming pool, an equestrian centre, tennis courts, pelota courts, beach clubs, outdoor shows, a skate park for older kids something for everyone.

Good food

An essential part of the lifestyle of Arcachon folks the local food is the result of a subtle marriage between seafood and local produce. The shellfish, foie gras, fish and duck are an all spiced with an Iberian flourish and sublimated by the aromas of Bordeaux wines.
