Voie Historique du Chemin de Compostelle par la Chapelle Saint Jean-Baptiste de l’Hôpital
The variant of the Hospital, the historical section of the Soulac
the path taken by the pilgrims of
North Medoc. Nearly 1000 years ago, pilgrims from the north of
thousands of people in Soulac to undertake their
pilgrimage to Compostela, Rome or Jerusalem. After their
devotion to Sainte-Véronique, they went to the Hôpital de la
Grayanes', where the Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem had
founded an important commandery (the 4th of the Order in France).
