Saint-Vivien-de-Médoc is a traidtional village on the shores of the Gironde estuary where you can really experience a friendly village atmosphere. The famous market
Every Wednesday all year round, there is a local market at the square in front of the church. Feel free to wander around and taste the local specialities and discover the warm atmosphere that is found in every corner of this village. In the summer, you will appreciate the night-time market, on Sunday evenigs, for an enjoyable evening, mingling with the locals.

Make sure you stop by the parish church in the centre of the village.
For information, this church was built in the 6th Century. It was almost destroyed on many an occasion, and then was restored and improved in the 12th Century. The original architecture here will surely take you by surprise.
The port of Saint-Vivien
If you are looking for a peaceful break, come and wander along the little port in the village and then carry on walking for as long as you want along the shores of the estuary.
Idea for a trip out: Set off for the afternoon on a canoe or stand-up and paddle down the channel.
