In the middle of the 1970s, the original idea of a foundation bringing together artists from Aquitaine was born.
From this idea was born the Museum of Contemporary Art of Soulac; between purchases and donations, our museum is, today, rich of 265 works all tendencies confused.
From 19th century landscape artists (Augui, Cabié, Lépine...) to 20th century abstractionists (Gau, Calgani...), it is above all the great period of the Bordeaux independents that is present in our walls...
