Our missions
Welcome and information
In addition to providing a standardised welcome and information service at all reception and information desks, the aim is to develop a decentralised approach to tourist information, both among tourism professionals and in key public places in the region, by means of a reception and information dissemination scheme, including an innovative visitor internet strategy and an efficient concierge service.
Promotion and Communication
The “Médoc Atlantique” brand contributes to the development of a tourism communication strategy that focuses on the attractiveness of the region before and after the tourist season, in coordination with the “Bordeaux” and “Côte Atlantique” Destination Contracts and in partnership with the Comité Régional du Tourisme Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Gironde Tourisme.
Promoting tourism development
The aim is to support and coordinate project developers and tourism players involved in developing the Médoc Atlantique destination, to offer training and technical assistance to these players, and to create a network involved in local tourism development.
To this end, the Médoc Atlantique Tourist Office monitors the tourism offer, visitor numbers and customer profiles, and offers technical support and advice to both public and private project developers.
Events
The mission of the Médoc Atlantique Tourist Office is to develop actions aimed at positioning the Médoc Atlantique region as a privileged host for sporting and cultural events. Alongside the communes, it supports any collective action that encourages the joint promotion of the area’s events, and provides advice and technical support for the area’s sporting and cultural events, particularly in terms of promotion and communication.
The Tourist Office organises, supports and develops La Bambino fait son Show in Hourtin and Le Festival du Court Théâtre in Carcans-Maubuisson.
Tourism production and marketing
The Community Tourist Office initiates and leads the marketing of the Médoc Atlantique tourist region. To this end, it develops services and products for the area’s tourism industry as well as for tourists and day-trippers.
In terms of products, the Tourist Office makes available a range of simple or more elaborate tourist products, developed directly by the Office or by the area’s tourism service providers, which are marketable and representative of the Médoc Atlantique’s wealth of tourist attractions.
In terms of services for the tourism industry, it offers commercial partnerships and develops new services, particularly in terms of support, events and professionalisation of the tourism industry.
