The “Île aux enfants” is situated on the shores of France’s largest natural freshwater lake and is a place entirely dedicated to families. With outdoor play facilities, unspoilt nature and direct access to the lake, this is the ideal spot to spend a carefree and sociable time with the children.
The island is designed as a real adventure playground and offers a wide range of play equipment for different age groups. The little ones can have fun in secure areas, whilst the older children enjoy climbing a giant spider’s web, whizzing down a zip line, running about and exploring the world of the wooden castle on the island.

The “Île aux enfants” on Lake Hourtin is a small, unspoilt paradise where young and old alike can have fun. There are no cars here! You can enjoy the island and its facilities by scooter, bike, on foot or with a pushchair. It is also an ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding area: walks around Lake Hourtin, water sports or simply moments of relaxation in the heart of nature.

To make the most of your family day out, make use of the picnic tables in the shade. In June, Île aux Enfants also hosts the Bambino Party over a weekend – a festival for children aged 3 months to 12 years. Two days of festivities where your little ones are the kings and queens!
