La Java - Maison du Commandant, Avenue du Docteur Pierre Arnou-Laujéac, Le Moutchic, 33680 Lacanau

Chezidek & Irie Ites will be performing a Live Dub Mix at La Java on Sunday 11 October from 5.00 pm at the Maison du Commandant in Le Moutchic.

CHEZIDEK, a Jamaican roots reggae artist who has been on the international scene for over 25 years, will be stopping off at La Java in Le Moutchic as part of his European tour, following a three-year absence.

Renowned for his ethereal and instantly recognisable voice, he will perform tracks from his repertoire, including ‘Leave The Trees’, ‘Call Pon Dem’, ‘All My Life’ and ‘Bun Di Ganja’.

For this show, CHEZIDEK will be accompanied by IRIE ITES Live Dub Mix, in a format blending sound system, live band and dub session. The producer from IRIE ITES Records will rework the instrumental versions live, accompanied by a bassist-keyboardist, using effects, echoes, delays, reverbs, samples and sirens.

The evening will thus create a dialogue between roots reggae and dub through live mixes, reworked versions and improvisations.

IRIE ITES Sound will also open the evening with a DJ set dedicated to his selection of dubplates and unreleased tracks.
