Film screening and discussion: The Wheels of the Future

Lacanau Town Hall and the ARTEC Cinémas association are organising a screening followed by a discussion on the film “Les Roues de l’Avenir” on Monday 14 September from 7.15 pm at the Cinéma l’Escoure in Lacanau-Océan.

Through the cycling journey of five young people and the differing perspectives of economists, town planners, sociologists, elected representatives and people working on the ground, “Les Roues de l’Avenir” highlights the practical benefits of cycling as part of daily life, in particular reducing our impact on the environment, cutting certain costs and encouraging regular physical activity.

The screening will be followed by a discussion focusing on the specific circumstances in Lacanau. One question will be at the heart of the debate: how can we make cycling even simpler and more accessible as part of everyday life in Lacanau?

7.30 pm: Start of the film
8.30 pm: End of the film, followed by the round-table discussion
9.30 pm: End of the round-table discussion, followed by a cocktail reception
