The small tourist train takes you on a 7-kilometer journey through a forest of pine and oak trees along the Atlantic coast. It connects the seaside resorts of Verdon-sur-Mer and Soulac-sur-Mer. Throughout the journey, you’ll enjoy views of the Charente coast and the Cordouan Lighthouse, a monument classified in 1862 as a historic monument and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on July 24, 2021.

It is also known as the PGVS tourist train, as it runs from Pointe de Grave du Verdon to Soulac-sur-Mer.

Today, the train carries between 11,000 and 12,000 passengers annually. Payment is made on board the train. Reservations are not available (except for groups of at least 15 people). Pets are not allowed, except for guide dogs.

Only 10 bike spaces are available on board.
