Médoc Castle Marathon

MARATHON 2027
“Exploring the Médoc: setting out to conquer the world!”

A DAY OF ADVENTURE, SPORT AND CELEBRATION!
Get your fancy dress ready, lace up your trainers and set off on a unique adventure in the heart of the Médoc!

Programme:

Friday 3 September:
10.00 am to 11.00 pm Race number collection and Marathon Village at the COSEC in Pauillac
Official bus transfers between Bordeaux and Pauillac will be available upon booking
7.00 pm ‘Mille-Pâtes’ evening at Château Fourcas Dupré (Listrac Médoc), limited to 1,450 guests. Entry is by exclusive and compulsory presentation of the access wristband issued during race number collection. Dinner served at 8.00 pm
From 7.00 pm: ‘Pâtes à Caisses’ evening at the Salle des Fêtes in Saint-Estèphe.
Throughout the day, entertainment on the quays and in the town centre, with shopping opportunities at the Marathon shop, the Maison du Vin and the Marathon Village. Refreshment stands.

Saturday 4 September:
8.00 am – 9.15 am Costume showcase
The day’s explorers reveal their costumes!
9.00 am Departure of the promotional convoy
9.15 am Pre-race entertainment
9.30 am Start of the Marathon

Along the route: ADVENTURE AT EVERY STEP!
Throughout the 42.195 km:
22 refreshment stations, around twenty wine-and-sport challenges (tastings of fine wines… in moderation!)
55 entertainment stops and tasting stations (oysters, rib steak, cheese, grapes, ice cream, etc.)

On the Quays of Pauillac
9.30 am – 11.30 am Entertainment & Basque spirit
A festive atmosphere, demonstrations and entertainment to support the runners and bring Pauillac to life to the rhythm of the Marathon.

4.00 pm Prize-giving ceremony
Join us on the quays of Pauillac to celebrate the participants!

From 7.00 pm
A wide range of dining options await you at the Marathon Village: AMCM refreshment stands and catering, restaurants in Pauillac, and Rugby catering at the Maison du Vin, from 12 noon to midnight
The party continues!

9.00 pm Dance evening with Free Spirit
10.30 pm Grand fireworks display
11.00 pm Dance evening
1.00 am End of the festivities


All day long: Marathon Village next to the Maison du Vin, with entertainment, wine tastings and food.

Sunday 5 September
9.30 am Recovery walk for runners, supporters, volunteers and partners – registration required (€8) – in the town of Listrac Médoc. Limited to 3,000 people.
12.30 pm Lunch under the marquee at the finish line of the walk at Château Fourcas Dupré. Booking required. Access granted only on presentation of your registration wristband.
12.30 pm Gourmet village organised by the municipality of Listrac Médoc.
