Nature tours Grey cranes at the Etang de Cousseau Nature Reserve
The common cranes are back at Cousseau Pond in Lacanau-Océan! Nature tours will be held every Saturday from November 14 through December 26 at the reserve’s observation decks, from 4:00 p.m. until nightfall.
👉 At the edge of the pond, the common cranes find the peace and security they need.
In the early morning, they fly off in groups to the surrounding cornfields to feed, then return in the evening. So it is at dawn or dusk that the spectacle is at its most beautiful ✨
📅 This aerial comings and goings can be seen from November to February: an ideal time to come and observe them without disturbing them.
🔭 To help you, we organise nature tours every Saturday during the season: a ranger will be on hand to answer your questions, explain the behaviour of the cranes and lend you observation equipment. 👀
📌 No booking required and free for all.
Practical information:
