Open National Shortboard Espoir

The National Junior Shortboard Open is coming to Carcans Plage on 13 and 14 June 2026 for a weekend of spectacular action and sporting excellence. This national competition will bring together France’s best young male and female surfers in the U14, U16 and U18 categories, who will be competing on the waves of the Médoc coast.

Organised by the Gironde Surf Committee in partnership with the Carcans Océan Surf Club, this event is a unique opportunity for surfing enthusiasts to discover top-level surfing in an exceptional natural setting. Over two days, competitors will aim to achieve the best results in a friendly and festive atmosphere, in the heart of one of the Gironde’s iconic seaside resorts.

Free and open to all, the National Shortboard Espoirs Open promises a spectacular show on the beach, punctuated by the performances of the young talents who represent the future of French surfing. Come and enjoy the event and cheer on the competitors in a warm atmosphere overlooking the ocean.
