Pink October in Carcans
On October 9 and 10, 2026, the City of Carcans will participate in Pink October in partnership with the Rose Médoc association. These two days of action are dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer screening and providing vital support to patients and their loved ones.
Centered on solidarity, well-being, and physical activity, these days will be an opportunity to come together for a vital cause in a friendly atmosphere that’s accessible to everyone.
Participation starts at €5. All funds raised will be donated to the Rose Médoc association to support its initiatives.
Program:
Friday, October 9
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Hypno-relaxation workshop
In groups of up to 8 women, this 45-minute workshop will introduce participants to the benefits of hypno-relaxation. To register, contact Ms. Souliers: 3pitchounes@gmail.com
Saturday, October 10
The morning will be dedicated to wellness, sports activities, and family entertainment:
9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Introduction to racquet sports with the Tennis Club and the Badminton Club: tennis, badminton, and pickleball—introductory sessions, try-outs, and games
Sports Hall.
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Pilates with the Gymnastique Volontaire association
Enavans Room 4.
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: wellness workshops with the association Les Rencontres de l’Art de Vivre: children’s yoga, magnetism, kinesiology, seated Amma massage, photostimulation relaxation, and self-assessment

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Family treasure hunt, organized by the CDC with support from the CAF. Registration: secretariatej@ccmedocatlantique.fr
La Bugade Hall
In the afternoon, it’s time for sports and activities!
From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., join us at the Salle de la Bugade and in Carcans Ville for a family-friendly afternoon of sports:
A roughly 4-km walk through Carcans, organized in partnership with the BVCM
Fit & Run, open to everyone, organized in partnership with Body Fit
Play area for all ages: inflatable structures, wooden games, spikeball, cornwall, and soft arc
A prevention booth run by the Rose Médoc association, which supports people affected by cancer in the Médoc region.
From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Open house at the fire station.
At 4:00 p.m.: “All in Pink” snack time
To wrap up the day, the town of Carcans will host an “All in Pink” snack time, featuring live music by the DMA.
