Sea Festival
Lacanau Town Council is organising its traditional Fête de la Mer on Saturday 15 August from 9.30 pm to 11 pm on the Lacanau-Océan seafront.
Featuring a commemorative ceremony, a concert and a fireworks display, this event will be an opportunity to pay tribute to those lost at sea, as well as to the lifeguards who ensure everyone’s safety every season. At the end of the ceremony, surfers and lifeguards will enter the water to form a circle around the blessed wreath.
On the programme:
At 9.30 pm, the evening will continue with a concert on the seafront stage.
At 11 pm, a grand fireworks display sponsored by the local council will bring the day to a close.
