The HourCancilloise - 6th edition

The HourCancilloise returns for its 6th edition on the weekend of April 3 and 4, 2027, around Lake Hourtin-Carcans (starting at the Pôle de Maubuisson).

The HourCancilloise is a 60-km endurance race for two-person teams around Lake Carcans-Maubuisson in the Médoc. It’s all about mutual support and camaraderie: runners and cyclists must never lose sight of each other and must share the route together. The Bike & Run discipline requires endurance, good teamwork, and a healthy dose of good humor.

Whether alone or in a duo, there’s a challenge for everyone. The running segments are completed individually, while the Bike & Run must be tackled as a pair—a wonderful opportunity to share the adventure with a loved one, a friend, or a family member.

Between Lake Hourtin-Carcans and the Atlantic Ocean, the courses wind through a remarkable natural setting. Depending on the event chosen, participants can explore the lake, the ocean, or enjoy both landscapes as they race.

With several formats available, the event is open to both regular athletes and those who simply want to take on a new challenge.
8 different races:
On Saturday, trail runners will take center stage with:
- A half-marathon: a route that winds through lakes and forests, combining athletic performance with magnificent scenery
- A 10 km race and a hike
- The 20 km “Grand Trail” night race or the 11 km “Petit Trail”: set off on an adventure at dusk to explore a wild and magical setting, among pine trees and along the lake’s shores.

On “Bike and Run” Sunday, mountain bikers and their partners will take to the trails:
- A 57-km “HourCancilloise Full”
- A 22-km “HourCancilloise Light”
- An 8-km “HourCancilloise Super Light” for kids: a fun and safe course, adapted to each age group. It’s the perfect opportunity for kids to experience the thrill of racing just like the grown-ups, to have fun, to push their limits, and—most importantly—to discover running in a friendly and festive atmosphere that will spark their love of sports from a very young age!

The organizers will ensure everything is in place to give every runner a unique experience!
