An exceptional course

Under the supervision of Éric Moreau, the steward, and with the support of additional equipment and six gardeners sent by UGolf, the course was prepared to offer impeccable quality.

The team’s combined efforts were amply rewarded. The 144 competitors, representing 17 nationalities, were unanimous in their praise for the impeccable quality and technical nature of the course. As well as the competition itself, this work has helped to strengthen the reputation of Golf de l’Ardilouse as one of the region’s most outstanding courses, capable of hosting large-scale events.

The first two editions of the Lacanau Alps Open marked a turning point for the development of golf in Lacanau and the Médoc Atlantique region. By welcoming 144 competitors from 17 countries, this tournament highlighted the exceptional quality of the course, both in terms of its technical features and the hospitality on offer.
Quentin Le Marrec, director of UGolf Lacanau, emphasised the importance of local collaboration in the success of this event. The support of the town of Lacanau, the golf clubs’ sports association and numerous partners was crucial in making these first two editions a success.

An enchanting setting

Golf de l’Ardilouse

Golf de l’Ardilouse, located between the Atlantic Ocean and Lacanau lake, offers an idyllic setting. Nestling in the heart of the national forest, its 18-hole course guarantees peace and a change of scenery. Built in 1980 by architect John Harris, it winds through the pine forest with its star-shaped fairways around the Club House and Hotel.
