France’s largest freshwater lake has eight supervised swimming areas, divided into three distinct zones around the lake.
Carcans-Maubuisson is a huge playground for children. Its calm, lagoon-blue waters are ideal for contemplation and siestas, but also for trying out water sports accessible to all ages, such as pedalos and canoes.
The Domaine de Bombannes, managed by the ONF, is a breathtaking green getaway. We recommend that you cycle there : away from the cars, in the middle of the pine trees, your children will have a great time ! A host of leisure facilities line the route down to the water, to the delight of the whole family: interpretation trail, climbing wall, sports trail… You can even sleep on site in the middle of the forest.
