After a perfect day enjoying the waves and sunshine, the Médoc Atlantique and Médoc plein Sud Tourist Offices invite you to extend the experience with friends or family at their Afterbeach events. Learn the basics of wine tasting whilst enjoying a pre-dinner drink and light bites!
From 10 June to 10 September, these informal get-togethers take place every Wednesday and Thursday evening, from 5 pm to 9 pm. An event organised by Bordeaux Wine Trip – Vignobles et Découvertes.

Every summer, the Afterbeach events are back to enchant you at the end of the day in Médoc Atlantique! After a great day at the beach or an adventurous getaway, extend the pleasure in an authentic setting, in the heart of the vineyards or in the parks of the wine châteaux. Come and enjoy a moment of relaxation, guided tour and wine tasting in the magnificent châteaux of the Médoc. A little getaway that will delight the taste buds of all epicureans, to enjoy with family or friends. Make yourself comfortable in the château grounds, tasting room or cellars and enjoy the warm, authentic atmosphere.
The 2026 programme
17 June – Château Fonréaud in Listrac-Médoc
On the programme: a tour of the estate, a gourmet hamper from ‘La Cuisine de Jimmy’ and a tasting of three wines.
Adult price: €20.
For children, a mini hamper with a club sandwich and grape juice is available for €12.

18 June – Château Carmenère in Queyrac
The evening begins at 7.15 pm with a tour, followed by a welcome drink featuring Laubespin’s L’Arlequin sparkling rosé. The gourmet tasting will offer the chance to discover eight red, white and rosé wines, including the exclusive 2022 ‘Audace’ vintage, made from 100% Carménère. A platter of cold meats and cheeses, accompanied by a dessert, will round off the experience. Grape juice will be provided for children.

24 June – Château Mauvesin Barton in Moulis-en-Médoc — New
Free entry to this evening event at Château Mauvesin Barton. Guided tours will be available at 5.30 pm, 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm. As for food, a food truck will be serving grilled ham, meat and fish.
Wine tasting by the glass: from €3 to €4.
Live music, a flip-flop throwing competition, pétanque and mölkky will also provide entertainment throughout the evening.

25 June – Patiras Island, Pauillac – New
Meet at Pauillac harbour from 5.30 pm to board the Loudenne II for the trip to Patiras Island. The adult ticket includes the return crossing, a tour of the lighthouse, a tasting of Loudenne Gouache wines and a complimentary drink.
Prices: €35 per adult; €15 per child for the boat trip, the tour and a complimentary drink.
Tapas and platters will be available on board, with wines by the glass from €5. Free crossing for children under 4. Last return to Pauillac at 9 pm.

1 July – Château Citran in Avensan
Château Citran offers a tour of the estate, followed by a charcuterie and cheese platter for two people and a tasting of two wines.
Adult price: €15.
Children’s option: ham and cheese plate, crisps and grape juice for €8.
Also on the programme: feeding the peacocks, a tour of the cellars, a competition, games for children, writing with a peacock feather and family entertainment outdoors.

2 July – Château Saint-Hilaire in Queyrac
This evening at Château Saint-Hilaire includes a tour of the cellars, a tasting of four of the estate’s wines, art exhibitions and dining in the château grounds.

8 July – Château Cap Léon Veyrin in Listrac-Médoc
Château Cap Léon Veyrin invites you to a tour of the estate, followed by a charcuterie and cheese platter accompanied by a tasting of two wines.
Adult price: €16.
Children’s menu: club sandwich, crisps, cherry tomatoes and fruit juice for €7.
Live music, a quiz and games for children will round off the evening.

9 July – The Uni-Médoc Winegrowers in Gaillan-en-Médoc
Reception from 6.30 pm hosted by a winemaker from the Uni-Médoc cooperative. The evening continues with a tour of the barrel cellar, a cello recital in the heart of the cellar, and a guided tasting of three wines. A platter of cheese and cold meats will be provided for everyone to share.

15 July – Château Meyre in Avensan
Château Meyre offers a tour of the estate and cellars, live music and a treasure hunt for all ages.

16 July – Château Bellerive in Valeyrac
Enjoy a picnic at the estate in a relaxed, country-style setting.

The evening includes a tour of the estate, a gourmet platter and a tasting of two wines.

Château Sipian offers a tour of the estate, followed by a large communal meal around a brazier, featuring cheese and dessert. Adults can sample the estate’s range of white, red and rosé wines.
