A Taste of Africa at la Java

On Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, 2026, La Java au Moutchic in Lacanau presents “Escale africaine,” a festive and cultural weekend celebrating African music, dance, cuisine, and traditions.

For this final weekend in August, La Java invites the public to share a moment of discovery and camaraderie by the lake. Over the course of two days, concerts, introductory sessions, workshops, dance, African cuisine, vendor booths, crafts, games, and DJ sets will set the tone for the event.

On the program: Moussa Koïta, NoumisAcoustic, DJ El Chente y sus Amigos, as well as a Bachata workshop with Nando & Céline. The public can also enjoy introductory sessions on percussion, African dance, and polyphonic singing, along with entertainment, stilt walkers, and opportunities to mingle.

On Sunday, the festivities will continue into the evening with the Bachata workshop, followed by a musical finale featuring cumbia, Afro, and Latin rhythms with DJ El Chente y sus Amigos.

A weekend open to everyone, to be enjoyed with family or friends.
