Music workshops for children at La Java – Sunday 21 June from 5.00 pm to 6.45 pm
The Programme:
5.00 pm – 5.45 pm: Musical awareness (0–3 years)
With Peggy Herald, music therapist.
A gentle session of sound exploration for toddlers and their parents, featuring nursery rhymes, musical games and sensory stimulation.
5.30 pm – 6.30 pm: Listening games & Body percussion (ages 3–6)
Led by Jenny.
A playful introduction to rhythm and music through the body: listening, moving, clapping hands and having fun together, without instruments.
6.00 pm – 6.45 pm: Musical Awareness & Discovering the Washboard (ages 6–12)
With Stéphane Seva, jazz musician.
A unique session to explore sounds and rhythm and discover the washboard, a surprising instrument at the heart of popular music.
