Ciné en Courts

From Thursday, September 25 at 9 p.m. until Saturday, September 27 in the late afternoon, at the Océanic cinema in Soulac-sur-Mer: Festival Ciné en Courts – 85th edition.

The Ciné en Courts Festival is a French national event dedicated to non-professional cinema, organized by the French Federation of Cinema and Video (FFCV). It is being held for the tenth year at the Soulac-sur-Mer cinema.

JEAN DUJARDIN, PATRON OF THE 10TH CINÉ-EN-COURTS IN SOULAC-SUR-MER: this major figure of French cinema is expected to honor the Festival with his presence.

The year 2025 will be one of anniversaries: next September will mark the 85th National Festival FFCV / CinéAmat France. The 80th anniversary, which could not be celebrated in 2020 due to the health crisis, will also be highlighted in order to make up for lost time.

In addition, 2025 will mark the 10th year of the festival’s presence in Soulac-sur-Mer. The Municipality, always supportive, is backing the celebration of this double anniversary. As in previous editions, films selected from the eight regional meetings will be screened from Thursday, September 25 at 9 p.m. until Saturday, September 27 in the late afternoon.

Several new features will enrich the program:

Thursday evening – 9 p.m.: Opening Ceremony
In the presence of Mr. Xavier Pintat, Mayor, Mrs. Dominique Dubourg, Deputy for Culture, and members of the municipal council.
Animations by the ambassadors of Soulac 1900 in Charlot costumes.
Speeches by Mr. X. Pintat and Jean Dujardin.
Screening of the film Conseil des jeunes, directed by Jules Lambert with the members of the municipal youth council.
Introduction and presentation of the jury by Alain Ripeau, President of CinéAmat France.

9:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.: Ciné en Courts Festival screenings

Friday evening – Retrospective Night
An evening entirely dedicated to the federation’s filmmakers, from its creation in 1933 until the end of the 20th century. Each region will present its leading directors and excerpts from their best films.

Saturday evening – Gala Night
Before the gala dinner, an aperitif will be offered to all congress participants as well as to local guests (members of the municipal council, municipal staff, and local partners).

Sunday morning – Awards Ceremony
The closing ceremony and awards presentation will be another highlight to discover on site.

Registrations are open from July 18 to August 31, 2025. As places are limited, early registration is strongly advised.
