An episode in the life of Michelangelo, set in a marble quarry in Carrara, where he goes to choose the ideal stone for his sculpture. For six months, he will live according to the rhythm of the quarry in order to select the finest blocks, wholly absorbed by his desire to capture earthly beauty in stone.
