Concert: "Spelim" (Soul, reggae)

On Tuesday, August 25, at 9:30 p.m., head to Carcans-Plage to discover SPELIM during a concert featuring reggae, soul, pop, and electronic sounds, presented by the town hall.

SPELIM—whose name is an anagram of the word “SIMPLE”—cultivates a sunny, generous, and accessible musical world. Through catchy melodies and a resolutely positive energy, the artist invites the audience to share a moment dedicated to music, connection, and camaraderie.

After more than 200 concerts across Europe, SPELIM presents his debut album, *In Art We Trust*. Conceived as a true declaration of love for art in all its forms, this project is the result of three years of touring, discoveries, and collaborations with artists from very different backgrounds.

Musicians, dancers, graffiti artists, filmmakers, and digital creators have all contributed to shaping his artistic identity. A multi-instrumentalist, SPELIM writes, composes, and produces his own tracks. He envisions each creation as a complete experience, in which music interacts with images, movement, and emotions.

His style, which he sometimes describes as “Dread Pop,” freely blends reggae rhythms, the warmth of soul, pop melodies, and electronic sounds. Behind its apparent simplicity lies a demanding creative process, always guided by the desire to convey emotions and connect with the audience.

A wonderful evening of music awaits you in Carcans-Plage, set to the rhythm of a passionate artist for whom art is, above all, a wonderful space for freedom and connection.
