As part of the cultural season, the Salle l'Escoure will host Roxane Marès’ dance performance “Mon Rêve ! VIIM ! bégueuna FECC under the rain” on Wednesday, March 17, at 7:00 p.m., in Lacanau-Océan.

“Mon Rêve! ‘Viim! Bégueuna fecc under the rain!’” is a tribute to the childlike spirit within each of us—the part that jumps with both feet into a puddle, bursts into laughter, dances, and believes that life is simple.
Every encounter that marks her journey awakens, reawakens, or reveals her dream—imprinted in her body without her even realizing it. Like a compass, each sensory experience leaves traces of embodied words. They dance on her skin, breathe within each of her cells, or vibrate beyond her physical form. They cry out in her body: “Please! I want to dance in the rain!”

Between France and Senegal, she reconnects with choreographers who, in times past, were able to answer her when she wondered, “Why do people complicate their lives? Isn’t dancing enough?” Just as the ancients did, she lets them guide her through explorations of spontaneous compositions that shape the movement and melody of the piece’s musician to create 4+1 scenes. The staging unfolds randomly, shaped by whatever she experiences in the moment of sharing with the audience.
