Don’t miss the eclipse in Hourtin

The solar eclipse will take place on 12 August – don’t miss the chance to watch this phenomenon in complete safety at Hourtin Plage or Hourtin Port (opt for open spaces). The eclipse will begin at around 7.29 pm, reach its peak at around 8.24 pm and end shortly after 9.10 pm, depending on viewing conditions. To ensure you can enjoy this spectacle safely, please follow these guidelines: wear special eclipse glasses that comply with the ISO 12312-2 standard, and do not look directly at the sun without suitable protection. Do not use a camera, binoculars or telescope without a solar filter, and remember to protect yourself from the sun by wearing a hat, drinking water and applying sun cream.
