From June 8 to September 30, 2026, the Carcans City Hall invites you to discover the exhibition “Shipwrecked Celebrities,” on display at the Salle de l’Estran in Carcans.
This unique exhibition showcases famous personalities through creations made from materials recovered from Carcans Océan Beach. Driftwood, plastic washed ashore, and other beach-washed objects are ingeniously assembled to create figures recognizable to all.
Through these works, “Drifted Celebrities” invites visitors to take a fresh look at marine debris and discover the full potential of creative recycling. Each creation reflects a significant effort in imagination, assembly, and repurposing of materials collected along the coastline.
An exhibition that is at once artistic, humorous, and socially conscious, raising awareness among young and old alike about environmental conservation.
