Infos & contact

Salle l'Escoure, Place de l'Europe, 33680 Lacanau

An immersive exhibition featuring Cathy Schein’s poetic paper collages will take place at the Salle l’Escoure in Lacanau Océan between 2 October and 8 November 2026.

Drawing with frail pieces of white papers.
Drawing with a little ink, a little gold.
Drawing with shadows.

A bold choice to offer you space, an infinite horizon, an untouched vastness, so that you may claim silence, calm, and clarity for yourself — to dream, to breathe, to feel the breath of the wind, the air of the ocean, and the scent of the dunes.
You may see a blue, cloudy or stormy sky, a sunset or a full moon night; a landscape where you can choose your color of happiness, your color of well-being.
Since this exhibition space in Lacanau Océan has been offered to me, after this unsettling and painful summer we all shared, I wanted to share, as though it were a necessity, soothing blue glimmers.
I would like every visitor to sense their own essential role — like that of every blade of beach grass — in preserving the exceptional sites that make up the entire Atlantic coast.
Nature is so beautiful that it is hard to live up to it. And humbly, the artist must find a way to offer their vision, to transpose their emotion — mine is immense, and filled with gratitude.
