Fête de la Mer

The Fête de la Mer invites you to join us on Saturday 15 August at Pointe de Grave in Verdon-sur-Mer, from 10.30 am, for a day full of excitement and festivities.

At 10.30 am, Mass at the Church of Notre Dame du Bon Secours in Verdon-sur-Mer

At 12 noon, a ceremony at Pointe de Grave by the memorial to sailors lost at sea, followed by a toast

At 4 pm, the blessing of the boats, with a wreath being cast into the sea in tribute to the sailors.

From 2.00 pm, tours of the ‘St Christophe’ schooner.

Funfair from the afternoon onwards.

At 10.45 pm, the celebrations will continue into the evening with a fireworks display, followed by a grand dance to bring the day to a spectacular close.
