Objectif Nage - Conseil général de la Gironde
The ‘Objectif Nage’ programme helps children learn the basics needed to become independent and comfortable in the water. The aim is, of course, to prevent the risk of drowning and to begin learning to swim with a view to obtaining a swimming certificate.
‘Objectif Nage’ is primarily aimed at non-swimmers aged 7 to 13.
If your child cannot yet swim or is not comfortable in the water, this programme will help them get used to the water in a fun and safe way. They will thus be able to develop a certain level of comfort in the water and the confidence needed to move on to learning to swim.
This programme is also available for 14–17-year-olds and adults, subject to certain conditions.
This introductory course consists of 10 one-hour sessions, held Monday to Friday over two consecutive weeks during the summer. Supervised by a professional sports instructor, children learn in groups of no more than six. This allows them to benefit from personalised support in complete safety.
Attendance is compulsory for all sessions.
