On Saturday 3 October 2026, from 9.30 am to 12 noon, La Sorga is hosting the first session of ‘De Fils en Liens’, a new sewing workshop and social gathering, at the Pôle de l’Aiguillonne in Lacanau.

Each month, this workshop will offer the chance to make a new accessory, guided by a volunteer facilitator with sewing skills. For this first session, participants will make an owl-shaped doorstop.

The aim is to share skills, learn from one another and enjoy a friendly get-together centred on sewing. This is not a sewing lesson, but a workshop for exchanging and passing on knowledge.

Places are limited to four participants per session. You must bring your own sewing machine, know how to use it, and bring all the materials needed to complete the project.

Materials required for this first session:
- 2 pieces of fabric measuring 30 × 27 cm for the owl’s body;
- 2 pieces of fabric measuring 20 × 12 cm for the eyes;
- 2 buttons;
- 1 piece of plain, brightly coloured fabric measuring 20 × 10 cm for the beak;
- 1 piece of fabric identical to the top piece, measuring 25 × 8 cm, for the handle;
- thread, needles, scissors and standard sewing equipment.
