Summer work placements 2026

19 July 2026 – Biomechanics & Horsemanship, 9am to 5pm.
You will learn the basics of equine biomechanics and its impact on movement.
Identify the signs of a balanced horse that is willing to work.
Develop a more appropriate approach to horsemanship by adapting your requests to your horse’s physical abilities.
Practical exercises on foot and under saddle to promote lightness, balance and better communication.

29 July 2026 – Night-time ride under the full moon from 8.00 pm to 10.30 pm.
Come and enjoy a unique experience on horseback, savouring the magic of a ride under the full moon.
In a calm and friendly atmosphere, you’ll set off into the countryside to discover the landscapes in a different light, at the horses’ pace and as night falls.

2 August 2026 – From the Ranch to the ‘Apé’ Roping from 3 pm to midnight.
Introduction to and refinement of ranch techniques.
An introduction to lassoing (roping) in a relaxed atmosphere.

19 August 2026 – An introduction to Western riding from 10.00 to 17.00, covering the principles and philosophy of Western riding.
