Discover the commune of Jau Dignac et Loirac, a former island in the Gironde estuary.
This route takes you through the three ancient and typical parishes of Jau Dignac and Loirac, passing through meadows, gravelly vineyards and forests.
A variety of landscapes will accompany you along the way, and you'll appreciate the calm that reigns in this commune.
There is no difficulty and no change in altitude.

Please note that these routes are shared with pedestrians. Be careful, as some sections of these trails are narrow and in poor condition.

Details of the walk

  • From the car park in place de l'église, head east along rue de la mairie, turning right at the end. Walk past the municipal stadium and then cross the road, past the Mouret fountain (basin - former wash-house), round the vineyard to the right and follow the path along the ditch.
  • Go round the vineyard to the right and follow the path. When you reach the tarmac road, turn left onto the Chemin de Bellot. Cross the hamlet of Boussan on the covered wash-house path.
