Château Saint-Hilaire

In the 1980s, Adrien Uijttewaal, a Dutch farmer, moved to the Médoc. He bought vines of about thirty years old as well as a 19th century mansion built by a family of Dutch engineers who came to clean up the Médoc marshes in the 17th century. Until 1994, the harvests were vinified in a cooperative cellar. 1995 is the first vintage to be vinified directly by the owner.
Since 2003, the property has been recognised as a "Cru Bourgeois".
