Château Poitevin
In the north of the Médoc, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary, Château Poitevin is part of the Bordeaux winegrowing tradition, while at the same time asserting its unique identity. Launched in the 1950s by René Poitevin, this family estate has grown steadily to become a recognised estate, classified as a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur.
Since 1991, Guillaume Poitevin, accompanied by his wife Natacha and a passionate team, has given new impetus to the vineyard by making wine on site and creating several emblematic cuvées. The quality and consistency of his work, combined with a constant search for a balance between modernity and respect for tradition, have enabled the estate to establish itself on the national and international scene. In 2012, Château Poitevin won the Coupe des Crus Bourgeois.
The vineyard is also renowned for its commitment to the environment. After initial Terra Vitis certification in 2015, the vineyard obtained High Environmental Value (HVE - Level 3) certification in 2018, before embarking on a conversion to organic farming, effective from 2023. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to preserving biodiversity and natural resources, while producing authentic wines that respect the terroir.
Today, Vignobles Poitevin produces a varied range of wines, including reds from Château Poitevin, Château Moulin de Canhaut, Lamothe Pontac and Insula Amphora, as well as a rare and original white wine from the Médoc. Elegant, balanced and accessible, these wines reflect the spirit of the estate: the right blend of expertise, innovation and family passion.
