Heritage Days – Performance: ‘L'échange’

The A Bout de Souffle theatre company will be staging a play at the Port of Lacanau-Ville on Saturday 19 September at 7.30 pm.

Inspired by the work of Paul Claudel, this production, directed by Olivier Hamelin, offers an intense exploration of the themes of exile, desire, freedom and power.
Driven by powerful writing and sensitive direction, the play invites the audience to immerse themselves in a world where human tensions, personal choices and power dynamics intertwine.

Running time: 1 hour 15 minutes.

On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, the European Heritage Days in Lacanau will feature a programme of guided tours, exhibitions, talks, performances and activities.

Throughout the weekend, the public will be able to discover sites steeped in history – some of which will be open exceptionally for the occasion – and gain a deeper understanding of the local heritage in all its forms.
Under the theme ‘Heritage at Risk’, this year’s event will also celebrate the bicentenary of photography. An opportunity to explore, share and raise awareness of the importance of preserving this shared heritage, which bears witness to our collective memory.
