Hourtin Challenge 45: timed walk

The Hourtin Challenge 45 is an endurance walking event promoting camaraderie, organised by the Hourtin Sports and Cultural Association. It will take place on Saturday 12 September 2026 in Hourtin, in an exceptional natural setting.

The aim is to cover a total distance of 45.6 km, divided into six 7.6 km loops, at your own pace, with a time limit of 11 hours 30 minutes. This format allows everyone to take on a sporting challenge suited to their level, whilst enjoying a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Several registration options are available to suit everyone’s preferences:

Solo: one walker completes all 6 laps.
Duo: two walkers share the route, each completing 3 laps.
Trio: three participants each complete 2 laps.
Tribu: a team of 6 walkers, each completing 1 lap.

The events are scheduled to start at 8.00 am from the Esplanade du Port d’Hourtin, with the finish at the same location. Race numbers can be collected from the Salle d’animation, Rue de la Misaine in Hourtin, at 7.00 am.

Entry fees are as follows:

€8 for solo participants,
€6 per person for teams of 2 or 3,
€4 per person for teams of 6.

Refreshment and catering areas will be available throughout the day. The event is open to everyone, whether walkers, hikers or Nordic walkers, whether members of a club or not.

The Hourtin Challenge 45 is, above all, a day dedicated to pushing oneself to the limit, team spirit and sharing, offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy a sporting experience in a stunning natural setting.
