Concert – Gilles Souchal sings Brassens
The Université du Temps Libre Hourtin Médoc invites you to an evening of music celebrating French poetry and song with Gilles Souchal, who pays tribute to Georges Brassens, one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the 20th century.
Accompanied by his guitar, Gilles Souchal revisits Brassens’ timeless songs with sensitivity and authenticity. Lyrics imbued with humour, tenderness, humanism and freedom, set to melodies that have become classics of France’s musical heritage.
Throughout the concert, the audience will be transported back to Brassens’s unique world, where poetry, a rebellious spirit and a profoundly human perspective on society intertwine. A performance faithful to the spirit of the master, whilst allowing the artist’s own personality and emotion to shine through.
A convivial event that will appeal to both Brassens’s loyal admirers and those wishing to (re)discover the richness of his repertoire.
