Musical lecture – Frédéric Chopin: A Heart in Exile
The Université du Temps Libre Hourtin Médoc invites you to a lecture dedicated to Frédéric Chopin, a key figure of the Romantic era and one of the greatest composers for the piano.
Under the theme ‘A Heart in Exile’, Michèle Lhopiteau Dorfeuille will trace the exceptional life of this artist, marked by his departure from Poland, his unwavering attachment to his homeland and his influence in 19th-century Paris. This lecture will highlight the key stages of his life, his artistic world, his influences, as well as the links between his personal history and his work.
The presentation will be accompanied by musical excerpts, illustrating Chopin’s emotions, sensitivity and creative genius. A cultural event open to all, whether you are a classical music lover or simply curious to discover the life of an exceptional composer.
