La Soulacaise Sud

This second circular walk, the “Soulacaise”, in the heart of Soulac-sur-Mer invites you to immerse yourself in nature and offers a chance to unwind in peaceful surroundings. The trail is ideal for anyone wishing to escape the daily grind with a walk in the woods, where every step awakens the senses. Right from the start, you’ll be guided by the yellow markings, which are clearly visible near the entrance to Le Palace campsite. The route takes you through a peaceful forest where the air is filled with the scent of maritime pines. Let the birdsong guide you and discover a bunker, a remnant of the Second World War. As you walk, you’ll have the chance to discover a diverse range of flora. Depending on the season, you can admire mimosa or holly. In autumn, you can spot various mushrooms. However, the real secret of this route lies in the chain of dunes and the wild forest stretching behind Soulac-sur-Mer, one of the Gironde’s most famous seaside resorts. This unspoilt and wild natural landscape contrasts with the hustle and bustle of the surrounding beaches, allowing walkers to reconnect with nature.
