Heritage Days – Tour of Villa Plaisance

Villa Plaisance is opening its doors as part of Heritage Days on Sunday 20 September from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm in Lacanau-Océan.

Come and explore Villa Plaisance on a tour focusing on its history, architecture, interior design and transformations over the years.

Please note: the tour involves climbing stairs.


On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, European Heritage Days will offer a programme of guided tours, exhibitions, talks, performances and activities in Lacanau.

Throughout the weekend, the public will be able to explore sites steeped in history – some of which will be open exceptionally for the occasion – and gain a better understanding of the local heritage in all its forms.
Under the theme ‘Heritage at Risk’, this year’s event will also celebrate the bicentenary of photography. An opportunity to explore, share and raise awareness of the importance of preserving this shared heritage, which bears witness to our collective memory.
