No, you are not dreaming, the event does exist in Gironde, in Hourtin. It is a unique event! This event is practiced by two people. Every year since 2003, about fifty teams divided into Junior (under 15 years old) and Senior categories, try to beat the record of the flip-flop throw. The principle is simple, or almost: the first player throws the flip-flop with his foot, the second one catches it without it reaching the ground. In 2015, the records for both categories were broken: 32.38 m and 39.56 m. For information, the flip-flop must weigh a maximum of 225 grams and be a size 36.
