Valeyrac is a typical Médoc-style charming village, situated at the edge of the Gironde Estuary. There is a peaceful atmosphere here in the small corners of the village where time literally stands still, with breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the ocean. Just down a side street you will find a traditional Guinguette where you will be welcomed with open arms into the authentic setting. You will also enjoy spending time on the shores of the biggest estuary in Europe, the Gironde Estuary!
The Port de Goulée
Port de Goulée in Valeyrac is dotted with small fisherman huts and offers 36 docking rings for fishing lovers and boat owners. The depth here means that it can be accessed even at very low tide and provides direct access to the huge Gironde estuary. We love wandering around this area and just enjoying the peace and quiet of the place.
