Lac de Lacanau

Lacanau Lake The Lacanau lake, with an area of 20 km², is fed by small rivers draining the Médoc. The northern part of the lake is dominated by the Moutchic district which has a long and beautiful beach. The western shore offers varied scenery with the vast wilderness of Longarisse which extends to the Pointe du Bernos. A wide marked path allows you to discover one of the wildest parts of the lake in complete tranquillity. From Longarisse, this path winds between the waters of the lake, where reeds and water lilies alternate, and high wooded dunes from which the lake can be seen. Islands form a privileged habitat for fauna and flora.
