Château Tronquoy

Located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Tronquoy-Lalande has a 30-hectare vineyard.
It was in the 18th century that the vineyard was built around the remarkable castle built for the Tronquoy family on the plans of Victor Louis, architect of the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. This elegant Girondine chartreuse in blond stones is adorned with two lateral turrets with pointed roofs that emerge from the tallest trees in the park that surround it.
In 2006, a few months after the acquisition of the neighboring Grand Cru Classé, Château Montrose, Martin and Olivier Bouygues discover this "nugget" historically renowned as one of the most beautiful terroirs in Saint-Estèphe. Advised by specialists, they acquire it thus marking the beginning of a new era in the history of the property.
A large-scale modernization program was then undertaken, including the construction of a large winery and a new vat room.
The vineyard produces a red wine recognized among the best of the appellation, to which melted tannins and spicy aromas bring a well marked style.
The Château Tronquoy-Lalande team welcomes you to the property all year round. You can enjoy a guided tour of the vineyard, completely renovated buildings and enjoy a tasting of a vintage of its great wine.
