A truly protected area, the national nature reserve of the Cousseau pond offers you, over the course of the seasons, the evolution of the local fauna and flora, the chance to visit the natural heritage of the Médoc.

Hidden by the dunes and the lush forest of Lacanau, between the two large Médoc lakes of Carcans-Hourtin and Lacanau, the site offers many guided tours. Soon, the Landes sea cows, the tradition of gemmage and the history of this moor, both calm and wild, will no longer hold any secrets for you!

Specific regulations apply to the 875 hectares of the reserve: ask at the tourist offices.
